The "Old Town Hall" in Büdesheim was built around 1530 in the late Gothic style. It is considered a landmark and the center of the district.

The current building was built in 1539. A courthouse is documented for 1441, which probably stood on the same site as the old town hall. The building was first remodeled in 1780. It received the steep hipped roof with its six-sided bell turret, which still exists today. The polygonal, crenellated corner turrets were originally connected by a battlement that no longer exists. Around 1700, a tower-like extension with a detention cell was added to the east side, followed in the 19th century by a single-story extension on the east side. The building served as the town hall until its incorporation in 1929. It also served as a fruit store, wine press house, wine cellar, and in the 19th and 20th centuries as a girls' school, fire station, and police station. This late Gothic building is one of the oldest surviving town halls in the region. Source: https://www.regionalgeschichte.net/rheinhessen/bingen/kulturdenkmaeler/rathaus-buedesheim.html
