August 26, 2026, La Tour sans Venin

Tour sans Venin is the last vestige of the old Pariset castle, from the 13th century, whose ruins stand in the commune of Seyssinet-Pariset. Tour sans Venin, now in ruins, is the keep of the old Pariset castle whose origin dates back to the 13th century. The castle was the possession of the Dauphins de Viennois during the survey of 1339[2].

Nice loop but much too technical in its last part (very difficult portions even when pushing/holding the bike especially on an electric mountain bike) which really spoiled the fun for me. I do not recommend this last part which goes around the Mollard Cargot. From my point of view, portions for hiking. I would try to take the Goya path next time to join descents which are certainly much more pleasant.
