Church of Our Lady of the Assumption

Highlight • Religious Site

Saint Mary Magdalene Church

Highlight • Other

The Church of Châtelaillon-Plage is located next to the Rue du Marché. It is called the Sainte-Madeleine church. It is a pretty church located in the city center of Châtelaillon-Plage, There are sometimes concerts organized in the church or as for example on August 13, 2009, there was the Night of Gospel (classical music, Jazz music , Soul Funk Disco Music ..) It's super cool and the music is really diverse. I advise you to go for a walk.
Since 2005, the Sainte Madeleine church has become a municipal building. If the building has been regularly maintained, renovation work was necessary and began in September 2019 with first of all a total renovation of the interior: painting, joinery, stained glass, restoration of the 14 paintings of the Stations of the Cross, heating , sound system and floors (with in particular the checkerboard in stone from Vilhonneur, in Charente and granite from Zimbabwe) as well as the restoration of all the statues. The creation of the monumental fresco inside the church was entrusted to Lille artist Amaury Dubois. This unique work, created to measure, respects the religious and spiritual dimension of the place, while resonating with the singular and colorful identity of our town today ... Push the door of the church and let yourself be guided by the celestial vault and its gradient of blue. The volutes will guide you gradually towards the choir bathed in light where the almost alive colored volutes envelop the altar. In order to highlight the whole, it was necessary to set up lighting to match the renovation. Four atmospheres were thus programmed to create an atmosphere specific to each event (worship, show, etc.). Then the exterior of the building was also renovated to give the whole a comparable youthful impression inside.
To see for the pleasure of the eyes and during musical events.

Large, pleasant beach safe for swimming (no risk of currents or "baïnes"). The water is a little warmer here than on the other beaches in the region, especially with low tide around midday. Depending on the season and weather, you might encounter kite enthusiasts (including the Kite Festival) and kitesurfers.

I love the atmosphere of a casino—the excitement, the glowing screens, the feeling that luck is within reach. I used to go to brick-and-mortar gyms, but due to work and other things, I didn't have enough time. I spent a lot of time searching for a regular site until I found https://www.11croco.com/de. I liked the simple interface and the really large selection of slots. Now, whenever I have a free minute, I go there—the thrill is almost like being in a real casino, only without the dress code and waiting lines.

Not recognizable from the outside, this church is all the more surprising from the inside! The modern frescoes match the original windows very well in terms of color and theme. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The church, along with the train station, market hall and railway, was one of the first investments in the 19th century to make this place attractive for seaside tourism.

With less than 2000 inhabitants, Thairé is one of the least populated rural towns in France. A must see, the medieval church built in the 14th and 15th centuries. It is a true masterpiece of the Middle Ages.
