This was originally a monastery from the 13th century that was looted and vandalized several times. It came into private hands, then it became state property again. During the First World War, Belgian children stayed here. Later it became the property of the city of Paris who first turned it into a sanatorium and later a preventorium and a psychotherapeutic center for children. Now it is a medical-social center and about 200 adults live there. You can visit the Chartreuse with a guide on certain days.
