After exiting Sachsenried station, the route disappeared in the Sachsenried forest to the apex of the route, the timber loading station (Waldbahnhof). This stop was only used for loading and removing wood. There was no shelter at the Waldbahnhof, it was assumed that only forest workers, mushroom pickers or hikers used this stop. The remains of the abandoned railway line can still be seen here. Unfortunately, the route was not upgraded to a cycle path. The connection to Schongau would be very attractive today.
