The port is very beautiful but even if you have to climb, the old town is also worth a visit

Starting from Missillac in Loire-Atlantique towards Morbihan via St Dolay and Rieux. Just to set a little sporting challenge, the famous Côte d'Aucfer, 900 meters of climbing at an average of 8.5%, with the first 100m at over 12.5% to get you into the rhythm. Then heading to the 3rd department, Ille-et-Vilaine via Redon to return towards Loire-Atlantique along the Nantes-Brest Canal where you can see World War II boats along the bank.

It is not seen very well from the outside. The visit to the castle is subject to a fee. Due to lack of time (and a lock) I didn't do it but I will organize myself better next time :-)

It's a truly wonderful experience when the lock is opened for the sailing ships. This exciting spectacle, as the road is closed, the drawbridge is raised, and the sailors enter and exit the lock, is not to be missed.
