The castle ruins are quite large. Of the important 13th-century castle, only the advanced structures remain today. The keep itself had already been destroyed in the 15th century.

The castle dates from the 13th or 14th century and was modified in the 16th century. It belonged to two great French families: the Juvénal des Ursins and the Conflans d'Armentières.
