The road from Melles is in good condition up to the last houses, then it becomes much more sporty, with quite a few very rough and rocky sections. But the views are sumptuous!

Once you leave the Refugi de Honeria and north of the Serra de Bedreda, we find this path that first meanders along the river, climbs through forests and leaves them, arriving in this gorge area with the river des Gràuers. The path after this narrow pass climbs to the north of what is called the Tuc des Cabres.

This dam has different names: its official name is barratge deth Hons dera Coma, in Aranese. However, there are those who refer to it as the barratge de Barrier or simply the Sant Joan Toran dam. It is not very well known, but it is located in the heart of the Torán valley and very close to the Liat mines. Depending on the flow of the Gòrges d'Ermèr river, the water takes on different shades. If the level is low, you can see a reddish tone that brings closer to the mining past of the area. If, on the other hand, the level is high, the water takes on a turquoise tone that blends with the green of the vegetation.
