October 18, 2026, Cow Hill Summit

Cow Hill is a 287-metre-high hill directly above the Scottish Highland town of Fort William. Despite its modest height, its summit offers an impressive panoramic view over the town, the sea loch Loch Linnhe, Loch Eil, and the surrounding mountains. To the east, the view stretches over Fort William, while to the south, Glen Nevis and to the east, the mighty Ben Nevis, Great Britain's highest mountain, define the landscape. A historic peat track, which was once used for transporting fuel, leads through woodland and open moorland up the hill.
